Maximum working load for your trip is 400 kg, this includes yourselves and gear. This suits a party of three and less. Please ensure you use soft bags and packs.
Hunting and fishing licenses/permits and hut fees are your responsibility.
Have your meat boned out and packed.
Payment is to be made before your trip , Account number BNZ 02-0628-0092107-000.
Please ensure you have read and signed our safety briefing, which includes supplying full names of your party,
email addresses and emergency contact details.
Please leave huts and campsites clean/tidy and take out all of your rubbish.
Helicopter Safety Briefing
For pickups, have your gear ready with no loose items that will blow up with the rotor wash.
Know how to open and close doors and emergency exits if applicable.
Do not go around the back of the helicopter.
Do not have loose items that can blow into helicopter blades.
Seat belts are to be worn at all times, except when otherwise authorised by the pilot.
Survival equipment: Axe, first aid kit, fire extinguisher (in compartment under front passenger’s seat) and ELT
(red button on the front dash)
Follow all instructions given by crew or pilot, including instructions in the event of an emergency landing.
Approach only from the front in the pilot’s field of vision.
Do not touch any moving parts or glass.
Do not run too and from the helicopter.
No smoking in or around the helicopter.
Please allow pilot time to open and close your doors. Pilot will load and unload your gear from the helicopter.
There are several options within 30 minutes drive of our base. From shearers quarters to top end accomodation.
